About Usui Reiki: Emerging in Japan in the late 1800s, Usui Reiki is a form of energy healing that uses touch or specific hand positions to transfer universal life energy, or "ki," from the practitioner to the recipient. This gentle and non-invasive method works to restore balance and clear energy blockages that may be causing pain or illness. The system was developed by Dr. Mikao Usui after a spiritual experience on Mount Kurama.
